Pentecost Flea Market organized by the Préverangeois Animation Committee in the heart of the village
The Brocante de Préveranges is the highlight of the patronal festival weekend organized by the Comité d'Animation Préverangeois. Every year, on Whit Monday, about forty exhibitors set up rue des Écoles and in the adjacent streets of the village to offer flea market finds, car boot sale items, and objects of all kinds. The festivities begin on Saturday with a cycling race, continue on Sunday with parades, music, a dance dinner, a torchlight procession, fireworks, and a ball.
Préveranges is a small commune located in the extreme south of the Cher department, on the border of Creuse. This village in Berry, nestled in a hilly bocage landscape, is about 80 kilometers south of Bourges and 20 kilometers north of Boussac. A borderland between Berry and Limousin, Préveranges retains a rural and authentic character that appeals to visitors seeking tranquility and local traditions.
From 8 a.m., the stalls are filled with furniture, knick-knacks, crockery, books, toys, and clothes. A children's fair is set up in the village square. At noon, the refreshment stand and the food stall allow visitors to have lunch outdoors in a festive atmosphere. Admission is €2 for visitors. The flea market continues until 6 p.m., offering bargain hunters a full day of discoveries.
From Bourges, take the D2144 towards Châteaumeillant then the D943 towards Préveranges (approx. 1h15). From Montluçon, take the D916 then the D943 (approx. 45 minutes).
Free parking in the village streets.
From 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
