Every July 14th, the commune of Châteaumeillant, in the south of the Cher department, hosts its annual flea market on the Place du Champ de Foire. Approximately 85 exhibitors, both professional and private, set up to offer antiques, trinkets, furniture, tableware, books, and all sorts of curiosities to bargain hunters.

A Day of Hunting in Wine Country

The flea market takes place throughout the day on July 14th, in a festive atmosphere befitting the national holiday. Visitors enjoy free entry to browse among the stalls and find bargains. The refreshments and food available on site allow attendees to cool down and eat between discoveries.

Châteaumeillant, City of Grey Wine

Châteaumeillant is a commune renowned for its AOC vineyard, which produces a famous grey wine from the Gamay grape.
