Every July 14th, the commune of Châteaumeillant, in the south of the Cher department, hosts its annual flea market on the Place du Champ de Foire. Approximately 85 exhibitors, both professional and private, set up to offer antiques, trinkets, furniture, tableware, books, and all sorts of curiosities to bargain hunters.

Châteaumeillant is a commune renowned for its AOC vineyard, which produces a famous grey wine from the Gamay grape.
