Pareid, a village in the Woëvre plain

Pareid is a village of 113 inhabitants, the Pareidois, located in the Woëvre plain, between Verdun and Metz. The commune covers 7 km² at an altitude of 214 meters and is part of the community of communes of the Territoire de Fresnes-en-Woëvre. The landscape of the Woëvre is that of a vast clay plain dotted with ponds and wet meadows, bordered to the west by the Côtes de Meuse.
