September flea market with 100 exhibitors in the village of Lye, in the Pays de Valençay
Every September, the village of Lye (36600) hosts its annual flea market with around 100 exhibitors. Set up around the town hall, professionals and individuals offer antique furniture, trinkets, tableware, books, tools, vintage clothing, and various flea market items. This back-to-school event appeals to bargain hunters who appreciate the calmer atmosphere than in the height of summer, with the same generous offerings. Refreshments and food are available on-site.
Lye is a rural commune of about 600 inhabitants, located in the northeast of the Indre department, in the Pays de Valençay. The village is a few kilometers from the famous Château de Valençay and its vineyards producing Valençay AOC wine. This transitional area between Berry, Touraine, and Sologne offers varied landscapes of woods, vineyards, and crops. The Romanesque church of Lye and its tuffeau stone rural houses bear witness to a harmonious built heritage.
The flea market is held on Sunday, September 14, 2026, in the village of Lye, around the town hall. Free admission. Refreshments and food available on-site.
