The Sanguinet Car Boot Sale

Every year in May, the town of Sanguinet organizes a car boot sale at the Espace Gemme, a multi-purpose hall located on avenue du Born. With about fifty exhibitors, this event is part of the tradition of early-season Landes brocantes, just before the summer influx of holidaymakers on the shores of the lake of Cazaux-Sanguinet.

Indoor and Outdoor

The Espace Gemme offers a dual configuration: indoor exhibitors benefit from tables and chairs (mandatory reservation, with a minimum of 2 linear meters), while outdoor pitches are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis from 6 am. This mixed formula allows for comfortable bargain hunting, whatever the weather, while enjoying the outdoors if the sun is shining.

Sanguinet, a Lakeside Village in the Landes

Sanguinet is a commune of 3,500 inhabitants located on the southern shore of the lake of Cazaux-Sanguinet, the second largest natural lake in France. This remarkable archaeological site, where remains of Bronze Age lake dwellings have been discovered, attracts thousands of swimmers, windsurfers, and water sports enthusiasts every summer. The May car boot sale offers a chance to discover the village in a quieter atmosphere, before the peak season.
