For over four decades, the brocante of Flirey has established itself as one of the unmissable events in the brocante calendar in Meurthe-et-Moselle. This 41st edition perpetuates a solidarity tradition: the profits are entirely donated to the local schools to fund children's school trips. Organized by a parents' association, this event illustrates civic engagement and solidarity in the service of education.
The Grande Rue of Flirey, the main street of this village located between Pont-à-Mousson and Toul, hosts up to 300 5-meter pitches. Around 200 exhibitors, both individuals and professionals, offer a wide variety of items: antique furniture, tableware, trinkets, clothing, toys, books, tools, collectibles, and curiosities of all kinds. Booking is mandatory, at a rate of 12 euros per 5-meter pitch.
Flirey is a small village in Meurthe-et-Moselle nestled in the Lorraine countryside, not far from the Saint-Mihiel Salient, a historic site of the First World War. The village, part of the canton of Pont-à-Mousson, offers an authentic rural setting for this flea market. The Grande Rue, lined with Lorraine stone houses, transforms for the occasion into a long open-air treasure hunt.
The brocante of Flirey is open from 6 am to 5 pm, welcoming the earliest treasure hunters at dawn. Entry is free for visitors, and on-site catering allows for a longer day in a friendly atmosphere. The raffle, organized in parallel, adds a playful dimension to the event. The success of this flea market, which has been running for 41 years, testifies to the attachment of the inhabitants and treasure hunters to this annual solidarity event.
5-meter pitches are offered at a price of 12 euros. Booking is mandatory and it is recommended to register quickly, as places are limited to 300. Exhibitors are welcomed from opening at 6 am.
