For over 25 years, the Civrieux Twinning Committee has been perpetuating the tradition of its grand annual flea market, which has become a must-see event on the calendar of the Côtière de l'Ain. In 2026, the 27th edition will once again take over the town hall square and the picturesque streets of this village perched between Lyon and the Dombes.

90 to 200 Exhibitors in the Heart of the Village

The Civrieux flea market is distinguished by the quality of its exhibitors, a mix of individuals and professionals. The stalls are set up on the town hall square and in the adjacent alleys, creating an intimate and charming treasure hunt route. Antique furniture, tableware, trinkets, paintings, books, vintage clothing, and decorative items make up a varied and carefully selected offering.

Civrieux, a Village on the Côtière between Lyon and the Dombes

Perched on the heights of the Côtière, Civrieux offers a remarkable panorama of the Ain plain and the Bugey mountains. This preserved village, just a few minutes from the Lyon agglomeration, combines rural charm and accessibility. The church, the washhouse, and the pisé (rammed earth) houses form an authentic backdrop for this flea market. The village shops, particularly the bakery and café, pleasantly complete the visit.

With its 27th edition scheduled for 2026, the Civrieux flea market demonstrates remarkable longevity, explained by the quality of its organization and the attachment of the inhabitants to this event, which has become a true local institution. The Twinning Committee, which has led this project from the beginning, has successfully evolved the event over the years while preserving the friendly, village atmosphere that makes it so charming. Both old and new residents gather around the stalls, perpetuating a tradition of sharing and conviviality.

Practical Information

The flea market takes place from 6 am to 5 pm, with free entry for visitors. The pitch fee is 4 euros per linear meter. Registration is possible with the town hall, by email, or via the HelloAsso platform. Food and refreshments are available on site. Parking is available on the outskirts of the village.
