Ploubazlanec is a coastal commune in the Goëlo region, near Paimpol, famous for its historical connection to cod fishing in Iceland, immortalized by Pierre Loti in An Iceland Fisherman. The Wall of the Lost at Sea, erected in the Ploubazlanec cemetery, pays tribute to the 2,000 Paimpol sailors lost between 1852 and 1935. The commune also offers exceptional panoramas of the Bréhat archipelago from the Pointe de l'Arcouest.
The catering provided by the Comité des Fêtes is generous and varied: sandwiches, grills, fries, and refreshments allow visitors to eat between finds. The friendly atmosphere and free admission make this flea market a popular family event in the Paimpol region.
