Large annual back-to-school flea market in Chabeuil, at the gates of Vercors
Every year in September, Chabeuil holds its large annual back-to-school flea market. This event brings together private and professional exhibitors for a day of treasure hunting in this Drôme town, about ten kilometers east of Valence, at the foot of the Vercors massif.
The September flea market in Chabeuil benefits from a favorable back-to-school context: attics have been cleared during the summer, objects accumulated over the years finally find buyers, and bargain hunters regain their taste for the hunt after the summer break. Furniture, antique tableware, trinkets, paintings, books, vinyl records, and vintage clothing make up the bulk of the offerings.
Chabeuil is a dynamic municipality of about 7,000 inhabitants, a crossroads between the Rhône plain and the foothills of the Vercors. Its architectural heritage, its nearby natural spaces, and its proximity to Valence make it a desirable place to live. The September flea market is part of the local festive and associative calendar as an unmissable end-of-summer event.
The flea market is open to private and professional exhibitors. Admission is free for visitors. Food and drinks are usually available on-site by local associations.
