The Sèpmes flea market and car boot sale was, for several years, a well-established event in the flea market calendar of southern Touraine. Past editions gathered around 200 exhibitors — individuals, professional dealers, and antique dealers — in the main streets and village squares, with stalls offering antique furniture, crockery, trinkets, books, tools, toys, clothes, embroidered linen, and vinyl records.

Sèpmes, a village between two valleys

Sèpmes (37800) is a commune in southern Touraine, located between Sainte-Maure-de-Touraine and Descartes, in a landscape of limestone plateaus interspersed with small valleys. The village lies on the historic axis connecting Tours to Poitou. The Romanesque church, old tuffeau farmhouses, and washhouses form a typical architectural ensemble of this southern Touraine. The region is renowned for its livestock farming and the production of Sainte-Maure-de-Touraine AOC cheese.
