Spring brocante facing the Mediterranean
On Sunday 1 March 2026, from 9am to 5pm, the Quai du Port in Bandol hosts a major brocante organised by the LIPEB association. Facing colourful fishing boats and the Mediterranean, bargain hunters and strollers enjoy one of the prettiest Var seaside resorts. A gentle season opening to savour between Var mimosas and sea air.
Bandol is one of the most renowned resorts on the Var coast, between Marseille and Toulon. Its arc-shaped port, backed by the Saint-Cyr hill, provides one of the region's finest bargain-hunting settings. On Sunday 1 March 2026, from 9am to 5pm, the LIPEB association takes over the entire Quai du Port for a large open-air brocante and flea market. The day officially opens the Bandol chine season after the winter lull.
The Quai du Port, lined with restaurants and cafés, is closed to traffic for the event. Sellers set up along the sailing boats and pointus with direct views over the bay. This bright, breezy setting is ideal for a quiet day of bargain hunting far from urban bustle. Palm trees, parasol pines and colourful façades lend a typically Mediterranean atmosphere.
LIPEB coordinates several brocantes and market events in Bandol throughout the year. Its experience ensures smooth running. Booking by phone (06 03 34 34 02) or email ([email protected]). Seller rates are reasonable, in line with the Var coast.
The 1 March 2026 Bandol brocante took place on the Quai du Port, 9am-5pm, organised by LIPEB. Season opener with mild spring weather and wide offerings: furniture, ceramics, maritime items, curios, private sellers. Strong turnout on the waterfront confirmed the event's place in the Var coastal chine calendar.
The 1 March 2026 brocante officially opened the Bandol chine season. Sellers finished setting up by 9am along the Quai du Port under Mediterranean sun until the 5pm close. Professionals and private sellers offered a diverse range along the quay, with notable Provençal ceramics, antique furniture and maritime objects. Strong turnout from Six-Fours, La Ciotat, Sanary and Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer kept the day lively. LIPEB confirmed the event's continuity and is already planning 2027.
