A friendly monthly car boot sale in Thiviers

Every first Sunday of the month, the parking lot of the former Lidl at 28 rue du Colombier in Thiviers transforms into a vast car boot sale and flea market. Organized by Christophe Sechere under the name Vide-Grenier en Fête, this monthly event welcomes individuals and second-hand dealers offering furniture, crockery, knick-knacks, clothing, toys, books, and various items.

Thiviers, gateway to the Périgord vert

Thiviers is a town of about 3,000 inhabitants located on the N21 between Périgueux and Limoges, at the entrance to the Périgord vert. Known for its winter foie gras market and its foie gras tradition, the town is also an important stopover for pilgrims of Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle on the Via Lemovicensis. The monthly car boot sale adds to the dynamic commercial offering of this small town.

Organization and operation

The car boot sale opens its doors at 6 am and closes at 5:30 pm. Registration is mandatory at a rate of 2 euros per meter with a minimum of 5 meters. Exhibitors are welcomed at the entrance of the municipal park at the Saint-Roc roundabout. A fast-food stand and a refreshment bar are available on site for visitors and exhibitors.
