Large flea market with funfair in Azay-le-Ferron, a town with a Renaissance castle
The Brocante d'Azay-le-Ferron is a major event in the flea market calendar of the Indre department. With around 200 exhibitors, both professionals and individuals, it takes over the streets and squares of the village at the foot of the famous Château d'Azay-le-Ferron. You'll find a wide selection of antique furniture, tableware, earthenware, tools, books, vinyl records, vintage clothing, toys, trinkets, collectibles, and curiosities of all kinds. The event is accompanied by a funfair that delights young and old, making this day a complete family outing.
Azay-le-Ferron is a commune of about 1,000 inhabitants located in the northwest of the Indre department, at the gates of the Brenne region and Touraine. The village is famous for its castle, a remarkable 15th to 18th-century building, owned by the City of Tours, surrounded by a 25-hectare park classified as a Remarkable Garden. The commune stretches across a landscape of hedgerows and forests, between the Claise valley and the first ponds of the Brenne, a territory nicknamed the "Land of a Thousand Ponds".
The Azay-le-Ferron flea market stands out with the simultaneous presence of the funfair, which creates a lively and festive atmosphere. Food and drink are available on site. Admission is free. Parking is available on the outskirts of the village.
