Azay-le-Ferron is a commune of about 1,000 inhabitants located in the northwest of the Indre department, at the gates of the Brenne region and Touraine. The village is famous for its castle, a remarkable 15th to 18th-century building, owned by the City of Tours, surrounded by a 25-hectare park classified as a Remarkable Garden. The commune stretches across a landscape of hedgerows and forests, between the Claise valley and the first ponds of the Brenne, a territory nicknamed the "Land of a Thousand Ponds".
The Azay-le-Ferron flea market stands out with the simultaneous presence of the funfair, which creates a lively and festive atmosphere. Food and drink are available on site. Admission is free. Parking is available on the outskirts of the village.
The Azay-le-Ferron flea market returns on April 12, 2026, with 200 exhibitors and a funfair.
