Monthly flea market and antiques on the allée de Locmaria in Quimper, every 2nd Sunday of the month from April to November
The Brocante antiquités of the allée de Locmaria is the monthly meeting place for treasure hunters from Quimper and Finistère. Organized by Philippe Kergonna every 2nd Sunday of the month, from April to November, on the allée de Locmaria along the Odet, it brings together about fifty professional exhibitors offering antiques, old furniture, trinkets, and collector's items in the exceptional setting of the Cornouaille region.
Every second Sunday of the month, from April to November, the allée de Locmaria in Quimper transforms into an antiques and flea market along the Odet. Organized by Philippe Kergonna, this monthly flea market brings together about fifty professional exhibitors who present a curated selection of antique objects: furniture, earthenware, silverware, trinkets, paintings, old tools, and collector's items.
The allée de Locmaria is one of the most beautiful sites in Quimper. Running along the Odet at the foot of the old town, a stone's throw from the Romanesque basilica of Notre-Dame de Locmaria — one of the oldest monuments in Brittany — this emblematic location offers exhibitors and visitors a privileged setting for treasure hunting in a historically rich environment. Quimper strollers have the opportunity to browse the stalls while enjoying the tranquility of the riverside.
The Locmaria flea market is a quality event, reserved for professional or semi-professional exhibitors. You will mainly find authentic flea market and antique items: 19th-century Breton and provincial furniture, Quimper pottery and tableware, antique trinkets, lighting, paintings, old prints and postcards, silverware, old tools and instruments. This rigorous selection guarantees visitors a high level of quality and makes it one of the most appreciated flea markets in Finistère.
Quimper is the prefecture of Finistère and the historical capital of Cornouaille. A city of art and history, it is renowned for its Saint-Corentin Cathedral, its medieval half-timbered houses, and its famous faience. The Locmaria district, where the flea market is held, is one of the oldest in the city: the basilica of Notre-Dame de Locmaria, founded in the 11th century, stands alongside the faience factories that perpetuate a centuries-old artisanal tradition. Treasure hunting on the allée de Locmaria means immersing yourself in Breton history and culture while discovering beautiful collector's items.
Exhibitors are welcomed early in the morning for setup. The flea market is open to visitors from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with free admission. For registration as an exhibitor or for any information, contact Philippe Kergonna at 06 63 58 45 86 or by email at [email protected].
