The Foire aux greniers du Nouvion-en-Thiérache is probably one of the most anticipated flea markets of the year in Thiérache. Organized by the Dynamique Nouvionnaise (ADN) association, it takes over the streets of this town in northern Aisne every first Sunday of August, bringing together up to 450 exhibitors and attracting between 15,000 and 20,000 visitors.

A thirty-year-old event

Created over thirty years ago, the Foire aux greniers has established itself as a major event in the flea market calendar of Aisne and northern France. In 2022, the event celebrated its 30th edition, confirming the attachment of residents and bargain hunters to this popular event which had been interrupted for two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Le Nouvion-en-Thiérache, heart of the bocage

Le Nouvion-en-Thiérache is a commune located in the north of the Aisne department, at the borders of Thiérache and Avesnois. The town, surrounded by hedgerows and forests, is known for its cheese production (Maroilles) and its natural heritage. The streets of the town center are transformed for a day into a huge flea market where you can find antique furniture, crockery, trinkets, tools, books, and all sorts of curiosities.

Animations and conviviality

The Foire aux greniers is not limited to bargain hunting: the event also offers various activities, including a traditional waiters' race. On-site catering allows you to eat throughout the day, while the festive atmosphere makes this fair a moment of conviviality shared by the entire community.
