The Brocante and Craft Fair of Challerange: an Argonne tradition

Each year in early June, the village of Challerange (08400) hosts its flea market and craft fair, organized by the Comité des Fêtes et Loisirs (Festival and Leisure Committee). This event, now well-established in the festive calendar of the Argonne region, brings together between 50 and 100 exhibitors in the village square and streets, offering flea market items, antiques, collectibles, as well as artisanal creations.

Flea market and crafts combined

The originality of the event lies in its dual nature: on one hand, the traditional flea market with individuals and professionals offering antique furniture, tableware, trinkets, books, and curiosities; on the other hand, the craft fair which highlights local and regional artisans. This blend of recycling past objects and contemporary creation gives the event a popular and cultural character.

Organization and atmosphere

The flea market is open to visitors from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with exhibitors able to set up from 6:30 AM. Entry is free for visitors. The pitch fee is €2 per linear meter. Various entertainment, food, and drinks are available on site to enhance the day.
