In May 2025, the firefighters of Illiers-Combray organized their big bric à brac on Avenue Charles Brune. From 7 a.m., early sellers and bargain hunters took over the tables for this car boot sale day which continued until 6 p.m. Items of all kinds, crockery, furniture, books, tools, toys, and various bric-à-brac were offered to visitors who came in large numbers to enjoy the spring in the Proustian town.
This popular event allowed the firefighters to finance part of their activities and equipment, thanks to the generosity of the exhibitors and visitors. A beautiful testament to local solidarity in this town in Eure-et-Loir.
