Street sale dedicated to early childhood: clothes, toys, and childcare items in Mayran, Aveyron
The Braderie Petite Enfance de Mayran is an annual event organized in this small rural village in Aveyron, a few kilometers from Rignac. Held at the Salle des Janenques, this street sale allows families to sell and buy children's clothes, toys, children's books, and childcare equipment at reduced prices. Entry is free for visitors. A friendly and supportive gathering in the heart of the Pays Rignacois, appreciated by families in the canton.
Every autumn, the small village of Mayran organizes its Braderie Petite Enfance, an event dedicated to families from the Rignac canton and surrounding areas. Held in the Salle des Janenques, the communal multi-purpose hall, this street sale brings together parents, grandparents, and future parents around stalls offering everything young children need: clothes from birth to the early years, toys, children's books, childcare equipment (strollers, car seats, travel cots, high chairs, bouncers), and various accessories.
The principle of this street sale is based on the circular economy: individuals offer for sale items their children no longer use, allowing buyers to equip themselves at a lower cost. It is both an economical and ecological approach, giving a second life to items in good condition. Entry is free for visitors, making the event accessible to all. The profits from the organization are used to fund activities for the commune's children.
