Annual great antiques fair held on the historic Château Square in the heart of Bouxwiller
The Bouxwiller Château Square Antiques Fair is one of the iconic events of the Alsace Bossue and Pays de Hanau region. Located in the very heart of the listed city of Bouxwiller, on the vast Château Square which was once the seat of the Counts of Hanau-Lichtenberg, this event offers bargain hunters an exceptional heritage setting.
The stalls bring together a rich and varied range of goods: antiques, antique furniture, Alsatian wardrobes, Sarreguemines porcelain, silverware, crystal, vinyl records, antique books, vintage clothing, wooden toys, old postcards, lamps, clocks and traditional Alsatian souvenirs.
Throughout the day, the bar and catering offer a gourmet break with flammekueche, pretzels, grilled sausages, fries, ham in Riesling, local beers and Alsatian wines.
Bouxwiller is a former residence of the Counts of Hanau-Lichtenberg, labeled City of Character. Located in the Pays de Hanau at the foot of the Bastberg, about 40 kilometers northwest of Strasbourg, it preserves remarkable heritage including the Château Square, the baroque Protestant church, the Pays de Hanau Museum and magnificent half-timbered houses.
