An indoor flea market in the heart of the Kochersberg

The Hattmatt Badminton Section Flea Market is one of the most anticipated spring events in northern Alsace Bossue. Run by volunteers from the village's badminton section, it is held each year at the Hattmatt village hall on rue de Dettwiller. Its indoor format allows the event to be held regardless of weather conditions, making it a reliable and appreciated date for regular bargain hunters and casual visitors alike.

Varied stalls run by private sellers

The exhibitors, mostly private individuals from the village and neighbouring communes, lay out a wide variety of items from opening time. You can find Alsatian tableware, second-hand books, children's and adult clothing, toys, bric-a-brac, small furniture, tools, household linen, vinyl records and a few real collectibles. Prices are deliberately affordable to encourage second-hand purchases and small finds. The indoor layout lets visitors move comfortably between the tables.

Bar and refreshments run by the volunteers

As is Alsatian tradition, the flea market is accompanied by light refreshments and a bar run by the badminton section members. Coffee and pastries in the morning, then sandwiches, homemade cakes, knacks (Alsatian sausages), tartes flambees and drinks are served throughout the day. The proceeds go to funding the section's sporting activities and supporting local community life. Hattmatt, a small village of the Zorn valley

Hattmatt is a small commune of the Bas-Rhin with around 430 inhabitants, located in the Zorn valley, a few kilometres from Bouxwiller and Saverne.
