The second-hand bicycle sale organized by Saint-Amour Nature Environnement
Organized by the association Saint-Amour Nature Environnement, the Saint-Amour bicycle sale is an unmissable annual event for cycling enthusiasts and families looking for a good deal on a second-hand bike. The event is held every spring at the premises of the Marius Picquand primary school, avenue Marc Descher, in the heart of this small Jura town.
It operates on a consignment basis: sellers drop off their bikes in the days preceding the sale (usually the two evenings before the event, from 5 PM to 7 PM, then on the morning of the sale from 8 AM to 10 AM). An identity document is required when dropping off the bike. If sold, the association takes a 10% commission on the sale price, with a minimum of 5 euros. Unsold bikes can be collected at the end of the day.
True to its environmental mission, the association Saint-Amour Nature Environnement promotes reuse and soft mobility through this sale. It's the ideal opportunity to give a second life to an unused bike or to equip yourself at a lower cost for the sunny season. The profits from the commission are reinvested in the association's actions for the preservation of the local environment.
Nestled in the Valouse valley, Saint-Amour is a charming small town in the south of the Jura region, known for its markets and gastronomy. The bicycle sale is part of the dynamic associative life of this commune, which hosts numerous events throughout the year.
