Annual fair in a Most Beautiful Village of France, at Le Vallat and in the streets of Blesle
Every last Sunday of July, Blesle, listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France, hosts its grand summer flea market and car boot sale. Organized by Collector63 with the support of the Town Hall, the event takes over Le Vallat, Place du Monument, and the medieval streets of the village. Around 120 exhibitors set up from 7 am to 6 pm to delight bargain hunters and strollers in an exceptional architectural setting.
Blesle, listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France, offers a unique setting for its annual flea market and car boot sale every last Sunday of July. The medieval village in the Alagnon valley, in the upper Limagne plain, transforms into a vast treasure market where professional and private exhibitors mingle in a setting of cobbled streets and half-timbered houses.
Blesle owes its classification as one of the "Most Beautiful Villages of France" in part to its many remarkable medieval buildings: the Benedictine abbey keep, the fortified towers, the half-timbered houses, and the stone fountains. The flea market takes on an additional dimension thanks to this heritage setting. Visitors wander among the stalls while discovering or rediscovering the architectural riches of the village.
The fair takes place in several complementary areas: the Le Vallat district, Place du Monument, and the streets of the historic center. This dispersion throughout the different districts of the village gives the event a festive and friendly dimension, inviting visitors to explore every corner of the village. Collector63, an association specializing in organizing flea market events, manages exhibitor placement and overall organization in collaboration with the Blesle Town Hall.
The fair brings together around 120 exhibitors – professional dealers, antique dealers, and individuals – who offer a wide range of items: antique furniture, tableware, tools, books, vintage clothing, trinkets, works of art, and various curiosities. Opening at 7 am allows early birds to find the best bargains before the general public arrives. The event continues until 6 pm, leaving all day to hunt for treasures at leisure. Entry is free for visitors.
