Large historic flea market in the heart of the Bas-Rhin wine capital
Every first weekend of October, Barr celebrates its traditional Wine Harvest Festival, one of the oldest and most prestigious in Alsace. In this exceptional festive setting, a large flea market takes place in the streets of the historic town center on Saturday, October 3, 2026. From 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, hundreds of private and professional exhibitors take over the old town to offer antiques, dishes, vinyl records, clothing, trinkets and attic treasures.
Nestled at the foot of Mount Sainte-Odile, on the legendary Alsace Wine Route, Barr is one of the most beautiful wine towns in Bas-Rhin. Its Renaissance architecture, 17th-century town hall and flower-adorned half-timbered houses make it a jewel of Alsatian heritage. Famous for its grand crus and exceptional domains, the town lives to the rhythm of the vine and wine, and the Wine Harvest Festival is its most dazzling expression.
The flea market is part of an exceptional weekend of festivities that includes the great parade of flower-decorated floats, the election of the Harvest Queen, tastings of the vintage wines, brass band and traditional music concerts, and Alsatian folk animations. This unique symbiosis between bargain hunting and wine tradition attracts thousands of visitors each year from all over the region and beyond. Entry and all animations are completely free.
