AS Marckolsheim Flea Market

A grand flea market in support of local sports

The AS Marckolsheim Flea Market is an institution in Central Alsace. Organized by volunteers from the Marckolsheim Sports Association, this major spring event allows the local football club to fund its operations, maintain its facilities and train its young players. With around 175 exhibitors annually, it's one of the region's largest flea markets, attracting private individuals and professionals from throughout Alsace and even from neighboring Baden-Württemberg.

Spread throughout the town

The flea market takes over the center of Marckolsheim, deploying its stalls in the streets around 27 rue Hotel de ville. From 7am, experienced bargain hunters arrive to find the best deals before the crowds. The stalls offer a very wide range: dishware, glassware, antique porcelain, trinkets, books and comics, records, vintage clothing, toys, nursery items, linen, small furniture, tools, antique farming objects, Alsatian earthenware, stamps, postcards, coins and collectibles of all kinds. The atmosphere is festive and friendly, with refreshments and catering provided by club volunteers throughout the day.

Marckolsheim, capital of the Ried

Marckolsheim, a commune of over 4,100 inhabitants, is located in Central Alsace, at the heart of the Ried, this wetland plain with preserved landscapes between the Vosges and the Rhine. The town, crossed by the Rhone-Rhine Canal, borders Germany, just a few kilometers from Breisach. It houses the famous Rhine Maginot Line Memorial, witness to the battles of 1940. Its community and sports dynamism is remarkable, and AS Marckolsheim is one of its jewels. This grand flea market contributes to the spring liveliness of the Ried and attracts a loyal audience every year, keen on good deals and authentic Alsatian atmosphere.
