APEEEP Retiers Annual Car Boot Sale

620 exhibitors at the Retiers fairgrounds

Every spring, the APEEP (Association des Parents d'Élèves de l'Enseignement Public) of Retiers (35240) organizes a large car boot sale at the town's fairgrounds. With 620 exhibitors, it is one of the largest in the southeast of Ille-et-Vilaine. The stalls are full of clothing, toys, childcare items, books, crockery, small appliances, furniture, and various objects. The atmosphere is family-friendly, with many families coming to hunt for bargains while enjoying the return of good weather.

A car boot sale in the heart of the Pays de la Roche-aux-Fées

Retiers, a dynamic town of 4,500 inhabitants located between Rennes, Vitré, and Châteaubriant, benefits from a vast fairgrounds ideal for hosting an event of this scale. The Pays de la Roche-aux-Fées, known for its exceptional megalithic dolmen, also attracts visitors curious to discover the local heritage after their bargain hunting. Parking is abundant around the fairgrounds.

Support for Retiers public schools

The profits from this day are donated to the APEEP to fund school activities and educational outings for children. Entry is free for visitors. A food area offers crepes, merguez sausages with fries, and drinks. The event starts early in the morning to allow the earliest bargain hunters to make their finds.
