From Aregno to Porto-Vecchio: Corsican hunting at Pentecost, between Balagne and Costa Verde

Ajaccio Sunday flea market, Bastia Place Saint-Nicolas brocante, Aregno flea market opposite Algajola: 10 picks for the Pentecost long weekend 2026.

Corsica lives hunting to the rhythm of its recurring rendez-vous. On the island, few large one-off flea markets — but a dense network of weekly community markets, emblematic Sunday squares and mountain villages that come alive once a year. This Pentecost weekend, hunters will find their match on both coasts: Place Saint-Nicolas in Bastia, the Ajaccio flea market on boulevard Pascal Rossini, the Balagne with Aregno opposite Algajola, the Costa Verde at Moriani-Plage and a large village yard sale in Zonza in the Alta Rocca. Our pick of the week: the Zonza Festivities Committee Yard Sale — 50 to 100 exhibitors on Sunday in a Corsican mountain village surrounded by forests, one of the only two large annual sprawls of the Alta Rocca.

Zonza Festivities Committee yard sale, mountain village (Corse-du-Sud)

Sunday May 24, the Zonza Festivities Committee runs its annual spring yard sale on place Bruny and the boules pitch. The event gathers 50 to 100 private sellers and dealers, from 7 am to 5 pm, in this mountain Corsican village surrounded by forests, at the gates of the Aiguilles de Bavella. Free entry, on-site bar and catering. One of only two major annual Zonza rendez-vous (with the September one), deeply rooted in Alta Rocca local life.

Boulevard Pascal Rossini Flea Market in Ajaccio (Corse-du-Sud)

Sunday May 24, the Boulevard Pascal Rossini Flea Market is the unmissable Sunday rendez-vous for Ajaccio hunters. Set along the boulevard pavement, opposite the school and municipal swimming pool, the market gathers some thirty exhibitors every Sunday morning offering antiques, old objects, bric-à-brac, furniture and second-hand items in a characteristic Mediterranean atmosphere. Urban format, open year-round, perfect for Pentecost holidaymakers.

Sunday flea market on Place Saint-Nicolas in Bastia (Haute-Corse)

Sunday May 24, Place Saint-Nicolas in Bastia hosts from 7 am to 1 pm a flea market of some thirty exhibitors mixing professionals and private sellers. Antique furniture, collectibles, postcards, books, bric-à-brac and second-hand items spread across this vast seafront space, in the historic heart of the Haute-Corse capital. One of the most beautiful Mediterranean squares for hunting, a stone's throw from the old port and the Citadelle.

Solidarity weekly yard sale in Porto-Vecchio (Corse-du-Sud)

Sunday May 24, the Porto-Vecchio weekly yard sale runs from 8 am to 2 pm on Avenue de Bastia. Organised for the benefit of rotating associations — SOS Décharge, Global Earth Keeper, Corse Parkinson and Chats de Solfa — this charitable event brings together residents and holidaymakers around a friendly second-hand market, in the heart of the Extreme-South Corsican capital. Free entry, virtuous community format, relaxed seaside atmosphere.

Corse Parkinson Weekly Yard Sale in Porto-Vecchio (Corse-du-Sud)

Saturday May 23, the Corse Parkinson association runs its weekly yard sale at Bar Pimpan in Porto-Vecchio, on private land. Reserved for private sellers and Sud Corse Communauté de Communes residents, the event welcomes up to 30 exhibitors from 7 am to 2 pm. Intimate but charitable format, funding Corse Parkinson association actions. Free entry for visitors. Complementary format to Sunday's on avenue de Bastia.

Furiani weekly flea market, gateway to Bastia (Haute-Corse)

Neighbourhood format, popular and well-attended, changing from the more central Place Saint-Nicolas.

Moriani Plage flea market, on the Costa Verde (Haute-Corse)

Saturday May 23, the Moriani Plage flea market takes place in Moriani-Plage, seaside hamlet of the commune of San-Nicolao. The market gathers around 40 professional exhibitors offering antiques, old objects and collectible pieces in an idyllic setting between sea and Corsican mountains, on the Costa Verde. The only truly professional format of the weekend on the eastern plain side: best for those seeking quality pieces rather than bric-à-brac.

This rendez-vous is a classic of Calvi local life, open year-round or seasonally depending on weather conditions. Practical format for hunters on holiday in the Balagne, to complete with a detour via Aregno just next door to stack up the sprawls.
