Alphonse Guérin yard sale in Rennes, weekly Pipriac flea market, Pont-l'Abbé Bigouden swap, Hédé locks: 11 Breton picks for the Whitsun weekend.

In Brittany, Whitsun is one of the great hunting weekends of the season. Among the 47 flea markets active across the four Breton departments, eleven picks stand out for their size, originality or setting: two Rennes district yard sales that alone gather more than 1,000 sellers, the major weekly Pipriac flea market (one of the most renowned in western France), professional monthly markets in Saint-Brieuc and Val-André, the big Bigouden swap meet in Pont-l'Abbé, and the heritage yard sale of the eleven locks of the Ille-et-Rance canal in Hédé-Bazouges. Our pick: the Alphonse Guérin Yard Sale in Rennes on Sunday, with more than 600 strictly private sellers — one of the largest neighbourhood yard sales in France.
