On August 15th, 2025, the Village Festival of Boussoulet in Champclause brought together exhibitors and visitors for a full day: a car boot sale with about a hundred exhibitors, bread from the village oven, a pétanque competition, cabbage soup in the evening, and a family dance.
The hamlet of Boussoulet experienced a lively and festive August 15th, 2025. From 6 am, exhibitors began to set up their stalls to offer their items to bargain hunters and onlookers. The car boot sale brought together about a hundred exhibitors from the commune and surrounding areas, offering antique furniture, tools, crockery, clothing, and trinkets of all kinds.
Throughout the day, the village oven worked at full capacity to bake the artisanal bread sold to visitors — a delicious and convivial tradition that perfectly encapsulates the spirit of the festival. In the early afternoon, the doubles pétanque competition gathered many teams for a prize pool of €400, livening up the games with enthusiasm.
The evening was marked by the serving of cabbage soup — an emblematic local specialty — at €14 per bowl, accompanied by a commemorative glass from the festival committee offered to each participant. The family dance concluded this memorable day in good spirits, bringing together all generations until the end of the evening on the Mézenc plateau.
