Vide ta chambre organized by parents of students in Château-Renault, hike and family games
The Vide ta chambre in Château-Renault is an event specially designed for families. Organized by parents of students, it allows children to resell toys, books, clothes, board games, childcare equipment and items they no longer use. The stalls, set up Place de la Liberté in the heart of the city, attract families from the surrounding area looking for bargains for their children. The atmosphere is joyful and relaxed, ideal for a family outing in early spring.
Château-Renault is a commune of about 5,000 inhabitants located in the north of Indre-et-Loire, at the confluence of the Brenne and the Gault. Once a prosperous tannery town, the city retains a rich industrial heritage — the Leather and Tannery Museum is unique in France — as well as a castle overlooking the valley. Place de la Liberté, in the city center, is a natural gathering place for local events.
Beyond the vide ta chambre, the day offers a walking tour in the surroundings of Château-Renault and family games that extend the festive atmosphere. The profits are intended for the financing of school projects.
