The car boot sale by the Glacière pond
Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, a commune in Grand Dax with around 3,000 inhabitants, regularly organizes car boot sales at the Étang de la Glacière. This natural site, popular with fishermen, athletes, and families, offers an idyllic setting for a day of outdoor treasure hunting, between the undergrowth and the pond banks.
The Étang de la Glacière is a leisure area located on the Route de la Glacière in Saint-Vincent-de-Paul. The slides and playgrounds delight children, while walkers enjoy the paths that circle the body of water. The car boot sale takes over the surroundings of the pond, allowing visitors to combine treasure hunting with a walk by the water.
Saint-Vincent-de-Paul is the birthplace of the famous "Monsieur Vincent" (1581-1660), founder of the Lazarists and the Daughters of Charity. The Cradle of Saint Vincent de Paul, the birthplace and memorial of the patron saint of charitable works, can be visited a few hundred meters from the village center. This historical and spiritual dimension gives the village a special appeal that goes far beyond the car boot sale itself.
