A big summer car boot sale in the village

The association du Clocher of Saint-Quentin-sur-Isère organizes its big car boot sale every summer, which takes over the village center. The maximum of 120 spots are spread between Place du 19 mars 1962, Rue du Vercors, and the Sous la Roche area, creating a pleasant treasure hunt route through the village. This outdoor format, without prior reservation, gives the event a spontaneous and festive character. Exhibitors, mainly individuals, offer clothes, toys, crockery, books, small furniture, tools, vinyl records, trinkets, and decorative objects at very attractive prices.

Saint-Quentin-sur-Isère is a commune of about 5,300 inhabitants located on the left bank of the Isère, at the foot of the first slopes of the Vercors massif. The village, halfway between Grenoble and Saint-Marcellin, benefits from a privileged living environment between the spectacular cliffs of the Vercors and the fertile plain of the Isère. The village center, with its plane tree-shaded squares, fountains, and narrow streets, provides a particularly pleasant setting for this summer car boot sale. A flexible and friendly system for exhibitors

The system is simple and well-established: no prior reservation, spots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis from 7 am. The rate is €3 per linear meter, with a €5 supplement for those who wish to keep their vehicle near their stand, thus facilitating loading at the end of the day. This flexible organization, without administrative constraints, attracts both regulars and occasional sellers who take advantage of a beautiful summer Sunday to clear out their attics and closets.

Practical advice

The car boot sale is held on a Sunday in July, from 7 am to 5 pm. Entry is free for visitors. Refreshments and food on site run by the association du Clocher. Arrive early for the best finds and enjoy the exceptional mountain setting.
