Annual flea market in the park behind the town hall of Saint-Germain-de-Lusignan
Every year in September, the Saint-Germain Festival Committee organizes a car boot sale in the park behind the town hall of Saint-Germain-de-Lusignan. This green and shaded setting, in the heart of the village, offers an ideal location for a day of outdoor treasure hunting in the inland Saintonge region.
Saint-Germain-de-Lusignan is a commune in Charente-Maritime located a few kilometers south of Jonzac, in the Seugne valley. This peaceful village in Haute Saintonge, bordered by vineyards producing cognac and pineau, retains an authentic rural charm. Its communal park, behind the town hall, regularly hosts local events, with the car boot sale being a highlight.
The Saint-Germain-de-Lusignan car boot sale is a human-sized event, where people take the time to chat with exhibitors and rummage through stalls in search of bargains. Old crockery, trinkets, toys, clothes, tools, and small furniture make up the majority of the items offered by individuals and professionals. The park setting, with its ancient trees, adds a special charm to the stroll.
The refreshments and food on site, provided by the Festival Committee, allow visitors to extend their treasure-hunting pleasure. The atmosphere is family-friendly and relaxed, reflecting the charm of this Saintonge village where life is good. Visitors come from Jonzac, Pons, Barbezieux, and all over Haute Saintonge to enjoy this country flea market.
Saint-Germain-de-Lusignan is located 5 km south of Jonzac, accessible via the D142. The town hall is in the center of the village. Free parking nearby.
