Friendly car boot sale in the La Maréchale / Les Aubes neighborhood at the foot of the Garlaban massif
The Vide-Greniers la Maréchale les Aubes d'Aubagne is a regular outdoor flea market event in the Bouches-du-Rhône. Organized by Christine Pegoraro in the residential neighborhood of La Maréchale / Les Aubes, this car boot sale hosts up to 100 private sellers on the Chemin de Ceinture in Aubagne. From 6 am to 2 pm, bargain hunters discover a wide range of second-hand items – clothing, tableware, toys, books, trinkets, and furniture – in a warm and family-friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Distinct from the Beaudinard car boot sale, this event has forged its own identity thanks to its green setting at the gates of the Garlaban hill, dear to Marcel Pagnol, and the generous welcome of its organizer who offers coffee, hot chocolate, or tea to each exhibitor.
The Vide-Greniers la Maréchale les Aubes is held in one of the most pleasant neighborhoods in Aubagne, on the edge between a residential area and the Provençal hills. The Chemin de Ceinture, which runs along the La Maréchale and Les Aubes sector, offers an airy and shaded setting, ideal for browsing the stalls. This event, quite distinct from the Beaudinard car boot sale organized elsewhere in the commune, has retained a regular clientele of bargain hunters thanks to its friendly atmosphere and careful organization.
Each edition brings together up to 100 exhibitors, exclusively private individuals clearing out attics, cellars, and closets. You can find all sorts of everyday treasures: clothing and shoes for the whole family, tableware and decorative items, toys and board games, books and comics, small furniture, trinkets, and vintage items. Prices, set by the sellers themselves, are generally very affordable, and haggling is part of the fun of bargain hunting.
Organizer Christine Pegoraro personally ensures the smooth running of each edition. Each exhibitor is offered a coffee, hot chocolate, or tea upon arrival, a welcoming gesture that sets the tone for the day. A refreshment stand also offers cold drinks and canned beverages to go. Toilets are available on site, and the organization is rigorous: booking is mandatory by phone, an ID is required, and reserved spots are held until 7 am.
Aubagne, the birthplace of Marcel Pagnol, is a city with a rich cultural and artisanal heritage, famous for its santons (traditional Provençal figurines) and its ceramics. The La Maréchale / Les Aubes neighborhood is located in a green environment, at the gates of the Garlaban massif which inspired so many pages of the Provençal writer. Coming to hunt for bargains at the car boot sale is also an opportunity to discover this charming town in the hinterland of Marseille, with its narrow streets, its Provençal market, and its santon workshops.
Individuals wishing to exhibit must book by phone or SMS with Christine Pegoraro. The 6-meter linear pitch with a vehicle behind the stand is offered at a price of 15 euros, payable on arrival. An ID or a photocopy is required. Reserved spots are held until 7 am; after this time, they may be reallocated. No exhibitor is accepted without prior reservation.
The Vide-Greniers la Maréchale les Aubes returns on March 22, 2026, in the La Maréchale / Les Aubes neighborhood in Aubagne, with 100 exhibitors from 6 am to 2 pm. Free entry, mandatory booking.
