Every second Sunday in August, Place Henri Queuille in Neuvic hosts a large car boot sale and flea market as part of the Fête de la Bruyère. From 8 am, exhibitors set up their stalls in this central square of the village, offering bargain hunters a wide selection of second-hand items, antiques, and curiosities. This event is the highlight of three days of festivities that animate the town of Haute-Corrèze.

The Fête de la Bruyère, a Neuvic summer tradition

The Fête de la Bruyère is one of the oldest and most popular summer traditions in Neuvic. Organized by the Comité des Fêtes, it unfolds over three days with a varied program: a local producers' market on Friday evening, an inter-villages event at the beach on Saturday, and a market, flea market, and entertainment in the town center on Sunday. The heather, an emblematic plant of the Millevaches plateau moors, gives its name to this festival which celebrates the identity of this mid-mountain territory.

Neuvic is a central town on the Millevaches plateau, located about forty kilometers northeast of Tulle. The town is known for its lake, a body of water developed for swimming and water sports, and for the quality of its natural environment.
