Vide-Greniers des Platanes

The Vide-Greniers des Platanes continued its monthly tradition in 2025 on Avenue des Platanes, in Marseille's 10th arrondissement. Every third Wednesday of the month, this avenue lined with century-old plane trees in the La Capelette district came alive with the stalls of around 200 exhibitors, a mix of individuals clearing out their attics and regular second-hand dealers from the Marseille circuit.

Visitors found a diverse offering month after month: clothing and accessories for the whole family, books and magazines, tableware and glassware, toys, decorative knick-knacks, and collectibles. The weekday slot, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., continued to attract a loyal crowd of retirees, parents, and discerning bargain hunters who appreciate the relaxed atmosphere and the calmer pace of a mid-week outdoor market.

Accessible by bus 15 (Les Platanes stop), the car boot sale played its role as a social connector throughout the year in this residential district of Marseille, where the spirit of a Provençal village remains vibrant. The event continues in 2026 with the same monthly schedule.
