Community flea market in Coëx

Coëx flea market is run by APE Les Moussaillons, a very active parents' association. Friday 1 May 2026 - a strategic date coinciding with Labour Day and the first May long weekend. A second date around 26 April may also be scheduled - check with organisers.

Like many Vendée school flea markets, this is a chance for parents to mobilise and raise funds for school activities, outings and teaching projects. Volunteers run refreshments and welcome sellers and visitors.

Coëx, Nord-Vendée town

About 3,500 inhabitants, halfway between Challans (15 km N) and Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie (20 km W), in Pays de Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie inter-communal area. Preserved Vendée bocage landscape.

Saint-Pierre church, old farms, bocage hiking paths. Famous for Jardin des Olfacties, a unique fragrance-themed garden in Vendée. A quiet Vendée town held together by community life.

Tips

Extend with Jardin des Olfacties for an original plant-and-fragrance experience. Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie and Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez beaches 20-25 min away.
