Car boot sale of the Beynat village festival in Corrèze
The Beynat car boot sale is held every summer in August during the village's fête votive, in the heart of this medieval town in southern Corrèze. Organized by the Beynat Festival Committee, the event takes over the areas around the Place de la Poste and the shared garden, as well as the streets near the church. Exhibitors offer their finds at a rate of €1 per linear meter, in a festive atmosphere enhanced by fairground rides, floral floats, and entertainment for all ages. Beynat, a Corrèzian bastide founded in the 13th century, offers a remarkable heritage setting for this summer's treasure hunting day.
Every August, the village of Beynat comes alive for its traditional fête votive, of which the Sunday car boot sale is one of the highlights. Exhibitors set up between the Place de la Poste, the shared garden, and the areas around the church, transforming the heart of the town into a large open-air flea market. Individuals and bargain hunters meet from the morning to rummage through trinkets, crockery, clothes, books, and various second-hand items.
The car boot sale is part of a full weekend of festivities orchestrated by the Beynat Festival Committee. Fairground rides, floral floats parading through the village streets, musical entertainment, and games for children punctuate the days. The refreshment stand and on-site catering allow visitors to extend their stay in a friendly and family atmosphere, typical of Corrèzian village festivals.
Founded in the 13th century, Beynat retains beautiful vestiges of its medieval past: fortified gates, half-timbered houses, and a Romanesque church. Located on the borders of Corrèze and Lot, the bastide overlooks a landscape of green hills and wooded valleys. The commune is also known for its Chestnut and Marron Festival in October, another unmissable event on the local calendar.
The exhibitor fee is set at €1 per linear meter. Entry is free for visitors. Refreshments and food are available on-site by the Festival Committee.
The car boot sale of the Beynat village festival returns in August 2026 to the heart of the medieval town.
