About Bargème Flea Market May 9

On Saturday May 9, 2026, Bargème opens its medieval alleys to bargain hunters for a spring flea market. Perched at 1094 metres, the highest village in Var and one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France hosts a more intimate spring edition than the great Saint-Laurent festival in August. An exceptional medieval setting for a day out of time.

At 1094 m, overlooking the Jabron gorges, Bargème is an exceptional village. Listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France, it has fewer than 100 permanent residents and remarkable medieval heritage: ramparts, Pontevès castle ruins, Romanesque church of Saint-Nicolas. On Saturday May 9, 2026 a spring flea market takes place here.

Unlike the great August Saint-Laurent flea market, the May 9, 2026 edition is more intimate. It attracts hunters seeking authenticity and fresh air, far from the summer crowd.
