Car boot sale flea market by the Amicale Laïque on the Esplanade de la Mer
Every summer, the Amicale Laïque of Rivedoux-Plage organizes its car boot sale flea market on the Esplanade de la Mer, a vast open space facing the Atlantic, avenue Gustave Perreau. With around twenty editions to its name, this event has established itself as a must-attend summer gathering on the Île de Ré. Approximately 75 exhibitors, both individuals and professionals, set up their stalls facing the sea for a day of outdoor treasure hunting.
The Esplanade de la Mer in Rivedoux-Plage offers a remarkable panorama of the Pertuis Breton and the Charente coast. This vast space, usually dedicated to walkers and sea bathers, transforms for a day into an open-air flea market. Treasure hunters enjoy the sea breeze and the ocean view while browsing stalls filled with all sorts of items.
The first town encountered when crossing the bridge to the Île de Ré, Rivedoux-Plage charms with its two beaches, its oyster port, and its market. This authentic village, halfway between the mainland and the heart of the island, benefits from a strategic location that attracts crowds during summer events. The Amicale Laïque, a dynamic local association, actively contributes to the animation of Rivedoux throughout the year.
The flea market is held in July on the Esplanade de la Mer, from 8 am to 6 pm. Entry is free for visitors. Registration is mandatory for exhibitors, at a rate of 5 euros per square meter per 3-meter section. Information and registration by email at [email protected] or by phone at 06 42 28 21 44. Refreshments, food, and restrooms are available on site.
