Arc en Ciel is one of the most active associations in Labastide-du-Temple, a small commune south of Castelsarrasin and near Lafrançaise. Throughout the year, it offers its members and the village a rich palette of activities: floral art, cooking, adult painting, sophrology, adult yoga and children's yoga, well-being workshops around plants, theatre evenings, Christmas market… And every spring, it organises its big flea market, now a much-anticipated event of the season.

The event takes place both inside the village hall — practical in case of changeable weather — and on the adjoining car park, which makes it possible to host a good thirty private vendors and to manage the flow of bargain hunters comfortably. The combined indoor/outdoor format is particularly appreciated by the public.

Family bric-à-brac, adult and children's clothing, toys, crockery, books, vinyl records, small furniture, decorative items, tools: the diversity of stalls is representative of a large spring flea market. Vendors come mainly from Labastide-du-Temple, Castelsarrasin, Lafrançaise and surrounding villages. Some amateurs also offer vintage items, family knick-knacks or collections (postcards, old papers, comics).

The Arc en Ciel atmosphere

With its evocative name, the association takes particular care of welcoming and conviviality. The flea market comes with a refreshment stand and food run by volunteers, usually with a few homemade specialities. The proceeds help fund the year's activities and Arc en Ciel's cultural events — theatre evening, Christmas market, themed workshops.
