Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez, a flagship Vendée resort, has organised its big 15 August flea market for a quarter century. Today, it's one of the major summer events of the Côte de Lumière. The national holiday in mid-peak season draws thousands of bargain-hunters and holidaymakers for a full day of retro shopping under the Vendée sun.

With 25 editions behind it, the event has earned its pedigree. Exhibitors fight for the best spots from dawn, and visitors know they'll find one of the biggest gatherings of the season with a particularly varied offer.
