Each July 14th, Bogny-sur-Meuse perpetuates a festive tradition deeply rooted in the local fabric: its car boot sale in the parking lot of the Cabaret du Dîner du Moulin. From 6 am until 5 pm, exhibitors set up to offer their finds and second-hand items in a national holiday atmosphere.

A Car Boot Sale by the Meuse

Bogny-sur-Meuse, a commune in the Ardennes nestled in a bend of the Meuse between Charleville-Mézières and Revin, offers a bucolic and spectacular setting for this event. The Dîner du Moulin site, located at 1 bis rue de Château-Regnault, welcomes exhibitors and visitors in a green Ardennes landscape.

The event is open to individuals wishing to sell their used items: clothing, toys, books, trinkets, light furniture, and various curiosities. The price for exhibitors is €5 per 5-meter section. Spaces are limited and booking is mandatory with payment upon reservation.

A Day of Celebration That Extends into the Evening

The unique aspect of this car boot sale is that it is part of a larger July 14th festive day. Starting at 6 pm, the Cabaret du Dîner du Moulin takes over with a packed program: a talent show (amateur singing contest), followed at 8:30 pm by a grand show combining drag performances and circus arts. Throughout the day, light refreshments, ice cream, cotton candy, and candy apples are available.
