The Saint-Pierre-de-Chignac car boot sale: the village festival

Every summer, the Festival Committee of Saint-Pierre-de-Chignac organizes a car boot sale as part of the village festival. This event takes place on the Place du Général de Gaulle, in the heart of this village located about fifteen kilometers east of Périgueux, in the Manoire valley.

A well-established event

The Saint-Pierre-de-Chignac car boot sale is a long-standing event, which has already had more than 30 editions. It brings together about 60 exhibitors, a mix of individuals and professional second-hand dealers, in a festive and family atmosphere. The stalls are set up outdoors in the square and adjacent streets.

A village between Périgueux and the Périgord Noir

Saint-Pierre-de-Chignac is a peri-urban commune in the Périgueux agglomeration, accessible by the RN89. The village retains a rural character with its stone houses, its Romanesque church and its wooded hills typical of the transition between Périgord Blanc and Périgord Noir.

Catering and festive atmosphere

The village festival weekend is enlivened by a food truck, a refreshment stand and various activities. The car boot sale is the highlight of Sunday, with exhibitors setting up from 6 am and opening to visitors at 8 am.
