On Sunday, May 4, 2025, the Vide-Grenier d'Orgon took over the arena on Chemin des Aires, in this Provençal village perched at the foot of the Alpilles. Organized by the Club Taurin La Bouvine, the event brought together dozens of exhibitors in this charmingly authentic small open-air arena.
From 8 am to 3 pm, individuals and professionals offered visitors a wide selection of second-hand items: clothing, tableware, toys, books, furniture, and trinkets of all kinds. Entry was free for visitors, and the exhibitor fee was €10 for 3 meters upon registration. A refreshment stand with food allowed bargain hunters to refuel between finds.
Orgon, dominated by the ruins of the Duke of Guise's castle and the Notre-Dame de Beauregard chapel, offered its remarkable heritage setting to flea market enthusiasts from Cavaillon, Salon-de-Provence, and the entire Alpilles region. The village, eponymous site of Urgonian limestone and a historical sentinel on the Durance, has been a passage point since prehistoric times, witnessing the succession of Celto-Ligurians, Romans, and medieval lords.
