The town's annual flea market on Avenue Eugène Thomas, giving objects a second life
Le Kremlin-Bicêtre, a dense and dynamic Val-de-Marne commune at the gates of Paris, has maintained for several years a fine tradition: a municipal flea market on Avenue Eugène Thomas, one of the town's main streets. This initiative, run directly by the local authority, reflects a strong commitment to reuse and the circular economy.
Scheduled each autumn, usually in September, the event transforms the avenue into an open-air market where local vendors and browsing visitors mingle for a day. The atmosphere is that of a classic French neighbourhood flea market: relaxed, family-friendly, and conducive to unexpected discoveries.
Kremlin-Bicêtre residents benefit from a preferential rate: the first metre is free with proof of address; additional metres cost €5 each. Non-residents pay €10 per linear metre. Stalls of 2 to 4 metres are reserved at the town hall on the three Saturdays before the event.
