Annual car boot sale in the heart of the village of Lissay-Lochy
Every May, the village of Lissay-Lochy organizes its annual car boot sale in the heart of this commune located about fifteen kilometers south of Bourges. This event, supported by the local Festival Committee, is part of the rich tradition of village car boot sales in the Cher department, where every commune, however small, livens up its streets for a day of popular treasure hunting.
Lissay-Lochy, postcode 18340, is located in the rolling plains of southern Berry, halfway between Bourges and Châteauneuf-sur-Cher. The village, composed of the hamlets of Lissay and Lochy, retains a typical rural architecture of the Cher region with its limestone houses and flat tile roofs. The proximity of Senneçay (3 km) and Plaimpied-Givaudins allows bargain hunters to combine several flea markets on May weekends.
The Lissay-Lochy Festival Committee has set the pitch price at 2 euros per meter, an attractive rate that encourages the participation of many private exhibitors wishing to clear out their attics. Stalls line the village streets, offering an eclectic mix of furniture, crockery, toys, clothing, tools, and trinkets. The refreshment stand run by volunteers ensures the conviviality of this village day.
The car boot sale is held in May in the village of Lissay-Lochy. Pitch price: €2 per meter. Free entry for visitors.
