Jumble sale combined with the annual fair in Jonage, a Grand Lyon commune east of the agglomeration
The Jonage Jumble Sale and Fair is an annual event that combines a large private sellers' market with the traditional fair in this eastern Lyon commune. On May 8, a public holiday, Jonage becomes a vast space for browsing and discovery where clothes, toys, books, trinkets and everyday objects mingle with the fair's stalls. A must-attend event for residents of eastern Lyon and a great opportunity for a family outing in a festive atmosphere.
Every year on May 8, Jonage hosts a doubly popular event: the annual fair and its associated jumble sale. This public holiday sees dozens of private sellers offer their wares — clothes, toys, books, trinkets, collectibles, furniture — at very accessible prices. The festive and friendly atmosphere attracts many visitors from across eastern Lyon, delighted to enjoy a lovely spring day browsing among the stalls.
Jonage is a commune of around 5,000 inhabitants, a member of the Lyon Metropolis, located about fifteen kilometers east of Lyon in the Ain plain. The commune is crossed by the Jonage canal, which feeds the Cusset hydroelectric power station and runs alongside the Miribel-Jonage nature park, an exceptional leisure and nature area of over 2,000 hectares very popular with the people of Lyon. This park offers beaches, water sports facilities, hiking trails and protected natural areas, making Jonage and its surroundings a green lung for the Lyon metropolitan area.
The Jonage Jumble Sale and Fair takes place on Friday, May 8, 2026 (public holiday) in Jonage. Private sellers market combined with the annual fair, clothes, toys, books and trinkets. Free entry.
Jonage is accessible from Lyon via the D517 or D6 towards Crémieu. Near the Miribel-Jonage park. On-site parking available.
