Summer car boot sale in this Beaujolais wine village, Fleurie cru
Every summer, at the end of July, the wine village of Fleurie organises its summer car boot sale. In this Beaujolais village famous for its eponymous cru, one of the ten Beaujolais crus renowned for its fine and fruity wines, locals and holidaymakers come together to browse in a village atmosphere. Clothing, toys, books and trinkets fill the stalls, among the vines and in the friendly spirit of the Beaujolais.
In July 2026, Fleurie hosts its annual summer car boot sale. In this Beaujolais village surrounded by its famous vines, residents and passing holidaymakers come together for a convivial day of bargain hunting. Private sellers display children's and adults' clothing, furniture, books, records, toys and trinkets in the village streets and square. A relaxed, summery atmosphere is guaranteed, just a stone's throw from the cellars and wine tastings that have made Fleurie's reputation throughout the region.
Fleurie is one of the ten Beaujolais crus, those controlled designation of origin wines produced on specific, high-quality terroirs. The Fleurie vineyard stretches across the granite hillsides of the commune, facing full south, producing wines renowned for their floral elegance, fruitiness and finesse, which have earned the village an international reputation. But Fleurie is also a beautiful golden stone village, with its church, its century-old cellars and its winegrowers' houses, which welcomes many wine tourism visitors each year who come to discover its vines and wines. The summer car boot sale is an opportunity to discover Fleurie from a different angle: that of village conviviality and the simple pleasure of bargain hunting.
