Annual car boot sale in the village of Le Rouret, Alpes-Maritimes
Le Rouret is a charming little Provençal village nestled between Valbonne and Châteauneuf-Grasse, in the Alpes-Maritimes. Renowned for its shaded square, flower-lined streets, and gentle way of life, this peaceful hamlet has retained its authentic character away from the hustle and bustle of the coast. Its stone houses with colourful shutters, ancient fountains, and welcoming little squares form an ideal setting for the annual car boot sale, which transforms the village centre into a lively and friendly treasure market.
The Vide-Grenier du Rouret has become a highly anticipated highlight of local life, bringing together villagers and visitors from surrounding towns, from Grasse to Sophia Antipolis. Private sellers offer a wide range of second-hand items: vintage clothing, old toys, antique books, trinkets, Provençal decorative objects, and various curiosities. The relaxed and warm atmosphere in the village invites you to take your time browsing the stalls, chatting with sellers, and finding original bargains at low prices.
The car boot sale is the perfect opportunity to discover Le Rouret and its bucolic surroundings. The parish church, restored washhouses, and rural paths lined with olive and cypress trees bear witness to traditional Provençal life. The commune is also known for its quality restaurants and craft market. Walkers can enjoy the marked trails that crisscross the hills covered with garrigue and pine forests, offering pleasant views of the Grasse region and the Prealps.
Annual flea market in Le Rouret, organized by the APE du Rouret (Parents' Association) in the center of the Provençal village. Free entry for bargain hunters. The profits help fund school projects and outings for the children.
The 2026 edition of Le Rouret flea market took place on Sunday, May 3, 2026, in the village center. Organized by the APE du Rouret (Parents' Association), this annual event brings together individuals from the village and surrounding areas who come to sell clothes, toys, books, crockery, and bric-a-brac.
A refreshment stand and a food area were run by the APE throughout the day. The profits from the event are used to finance school projects and outings for the children of Le Rouret school.
Exhibitor registrations are made each year at Le Rouret town hall or directly online via the APE website, with a deadline generally set approximately two weeks before the event.
