Every Whit Monday, the commune of Le Pontet hosts its annual boot sale on Place Joseph Thomas. At 1,040 metres altitude in the upper Maurienne valley, this small mountain village offers an exceptional setting for outdoor bargain-hunting.
A mountain tradition
From 7am, sellers set up their stalls on the village square. The Le Pontet boot sale is a popular event for residents across the Maurienne valley.
